Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman has been a gymnast in the U.S. for over ten years. She was part as captain of the US Olympic Female Gymnastics Women's Team, Final Five (2012) as well as the Final Five (2016). Aly Raisman was awarded three gold medals in the 2012 Olympics which took place in London. In addition, she took her bronze on the balance beam. She became one of the few American to be awarded many Olympic medals. The gold medal was hers in the team event during the 2016 Olympics, which also made her and Gabby Douglas first Americans to have back-to-back golds. Additionally, she took home two silver medals, one for the floor and for individual all-around. In between the two Olympics she had taken a break from competitive gymnastics for 3 years. Additionally, she was part of the gold medal winning American team at the two World Championships. Gymnastics was her first sport of choice at the age of two and her favourite event is floor exercises. Aly is a member of an organization called the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to honor her mother who passed away from cancer. Aly plans on pursuing an occupation in fashion and is looking to increase her signature line of leotards and socks in future. The book she is working on is entitled Fierce which will come out later this year.
